Sun and Sabbath

We decided to spend our Sabbath day resting and relaxing at Castlecliff beach. I absolutely love this beach…not only because it is a short, 15 min drive from our house, but also because it is different every time we visit it. The Whanganui River runs out into the ocean just up the beach. It carries all sorts of limbs, branches, and trees out into the ocean, and during high tide those things get tossed up onto the beach. Each high tide moves things around a bit. After a heavy rain, a new assortment of things will appear. Castlecliff will never get boring because every trip is like a trip to a whole new beach.

The trees and limbs are a little boy’s paradise. I think we were there for 3 hours today and the boys never ran out of things to do, climb over, build, dig under, or walk across.

You know that moment when you realize that the milk you just took a huge swallow of is sour? I captured that moment…only she was expecting wood and got sand instead…

I just love this…daddy and daughter, tuckered out…

Oh and if you get a chance, definitely visit Queenstown, Te Anau and the surrounding areas, definitely the most beautiful part of NZ (in my opinion πŸ™‚ )

  3. Oh how fun!!! This looks like such a fun time.. I could totally imagine the hours of endless fun to be had – my kids are the same way. Heck, they can play for 3 hours with sticks in our backyard. πŸ˜‰
