I’m all alone…there’s no one there besiiiide me!

The Doc just got on a plane yesterday morning to head back to the States. He’ll be spending a few days with family to get reacquainted with the time zone and then head down to Atlanta to take his Oral Boards for Adult Psychiatry. I just KNOW he’s going to do great…he’s been studying hard-core for a couple of weeks, and he ALWAYS does well on oral exams.

I just got word that he safely arrived in LA (well…I guess as safe as anyone can be in LA…) a few hours ago, and is probably on his way to Atlanta right now, and then on to North Carolina where his mom will pick him up from the airport at about midnight, their time. I can not WAIT to get the call that he’s in NC!

So, here we are…all alone in a foreign country. Just me and three kids for 11 days.

*sniff, sniff*

*waits patiently for pity party to begin*

*crickets*

Oh well…

It’s rainy today, so that means we’re probably stuck inside. I don’t know about your kids, but mine have a very low threshold before cabin fever sets in. I’ve definitely noticed this more since we’ve been in New Zealand. We spend so much time outside here that the boys have really gotten used to being able to run off some energy every day. On days like this, when it’s a bit too damp to be outside, they go nuts. I can feel the tension building already, and it’s only 10:30 in the morning!

Say a little prayer for me!

Responses

  1. He’ll be back home before you know it 🙂 I said a quick prayer, now go and find something fun for the kids to do inside!

    • Puzzles! We did LOTS of puzzles!

  2. Praying that the time passes quickly!!! How exciting for your DH to have this done and mastered, eh? 🙂

    • Yes yes yes! No more exams for 2 years! WOOT!
